Michael D. Peterson, P.E. - Vice President

BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Peterson began his career in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan working for his father’s engineering and surveying company. In the 1980’s Mr. Peterson went to work in the consulting engineering field, working primarily as a municipal engineer. His career has included experience at three consulting firms, with work in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Peterson has worked with many communities and counties in Southeast Michigan and over the years has served as consulting engineer for the cities of Ypsilanti, Westland, Farmington Hills, Farmington, Sylvan Lake, and Livonia, the Villages of Dexter and Bingham Farms, the Townships of Superior, Rose, Springfield, Lyon, Grass Lake and Ypsilanti, and the Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority. Mr. Peterson currently serves as the consulting engineering for the Charter Township of York. His experience includes utility infrastructure design and rehabilitation, pavement and soil rehabilitation/construction, storm water management and system design, pump station design and rehabilitation, utility investigation, municipal plan review, special assessment districts for pavement/water/sewer systems, park design and improvements, as well as a wide variety of other related topics. Mr. Peterson graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He maintains membership in several professional and community associations.
